The Model United Nations Program at BIS
‘MUNning’ lies at the very heart of BIS. It gives students the chance to understand global problems, freely voice their opinion on those issues and seek to discover a solution through negotiation and debate.
Exposure to the concept begins in the Middle school, where students debate on important contemporary matters and try to find innovative solutions to them in their ‘Issues’ classes.
In their senior years, BIS students take part in different MUNs, beginning with the ‘in-house’ United Nations in Sessions (UNIS). Students of Std. IX and X also take part in two local MUNs (at least) and one international MUN.
